installed "budget" aluminum roller tips several years ago.
not a whole lot of miles on motor but
just had my second and last adjuster backing out incident.
any mid range price options? I havent really paid attention to aftermarket for quite awhile. dont need H sharp level stuff.

What's the budget you have in mind?

Sometimes the Comp Cams stuff turns up on-line...that's what I'm running on my 360 motor (older 1420-16 part). Hughes has some of their own stuff out there, mid-300s price wise I think.

You could always look for an old set of the iron stuff...the original 273 is what I'm talking about (did they ever come on stock 340s???? no idea...).

If it's not pulling the threads out you likely just need to put a little more umpf on tightening the lock nut!
