Now I gotta find something to use it in. A Friend called a couple of weeks ago and mentioned he had a 9" ford rear-end he my sell so I said figure out a price I may be interested. Almost new (6 passes) 4:30 gear, 35 spline axles, spool, aluminum center section, and Strange 4 piston calipers, rotors, and all necessary brake parts. All for 500 dollars. Kinda short (32 inches) hub to hub but for that price I can't turn it down. At least I have a spare gear-set for the Daytona now.

Hey Dom, My kid wiped out his 8 3/4 two weeks ago. Over the Winter he upgraded to 35 spline axles, spool, and 4:30 gears but the gear-set was a used set out of a 3400 pound small block avenger running 9.50's and leaving off the brake. Matt went with a 4:10 this time and lost about .02 in the 60 foot but it runs the same in the 1/4. When it broke it scraped everything but the rear-end housing, spool, and axles. (and I even mean the case)

That sounds like a killer set up to me, especially for the money...

Beleive me, I cringe everytime I leave the line and may not even race anymore till I do something about it. Work`s real slow other than the Nova I`m building and it may be a while till/if that changes so no racing 4 me 4 a while but if I found a deal like that, it would really help out.

He has a brand new turbo splined Neil Chance 9" powerglide convertor too. He paid 1200 dollars for it and wants 500. That may go in the Daytona since I stole that one for the Duster. He's making a list of all the struts and spring he has so I can check those out too. I gotta get a job.
