Did thDid they have 2 styles of rollbars? Got a rollbar for a shortbox and longbox. Got a guy that says my shortbox one isn't factory because the back legs tent straight.

The top one is not a factory macho bar. Looks more like a top hand truck one but not exactly.

Only shot I have of a '79 Macho handy, but the rollbar in it was original and the legs go straight back.

The rollbar was also 100% functional. DAMHIK

Both of the ones I have mounted the same. What do you consider Non-functional?

I search some images with my phone and saw a few machos with one like the white one but more with the straight legs

Somewhere along the line the product liability lawyers got involved and rollbars became 'light bars' or 'sport bars' or anything else that did not imply that the bar would protect you in a crash.

The orange truck above wound up on its roof in a really interesting crash when the rear axle snapped and the rollbar did its job.

I've seen quite of few macho's and ram charger that have been rolled and the roll bars really seemed to do there job quite well. I always put one in my ram chargers if they didn't come factory optioned with one.
