i dont know what the rules are but i only run 9.30,s and i never put it up.so far iv,e never been called on it.

The NHRA rulebook does not specify the location of the net. However IHRA specifies that the forward most edge of the net must come within 2 inches of the rearmost part of the steering wheel.

I re-used one of my factory flip style seat belt buckles on mine.

Don't have a pix but one strange thing to remember, the seat belt buckle part that you weld to the top of the roll cage to latch, goes on the inside of the tube, not the outside.

With-in 6" of the steering wheel. Also must be inside of the cage tubes. Strange that NASCAR nets are on the outside.

dvw, where is the reference to "within 6" of the steering wheel"? I agree the NHRA book requires the net to be within the cage but 6.3 of the rule book says absolutely nothing about the forward position requirement of the net.
