Failing that does anyone have a spare I can swap and try out for kicks?

No help here but a suggestion, rather then plug someone elses good PCM into your broken truck which could potentially have a failed part that might damage the PCM why not plug your PCM into a truck that runs? I've never seen a bad PCM damage any sensors or outputs....Also having a known running vehicle and & ohm meter compare reading at the PCM connector between vehicles...

Well there is no truck...

Swapping ECUs might be OK, PCMs would probably not though unless they don't care if their VTSS might get enabled...

VTSS = Dodge speak, I was a Ford tech & they called it VATS, I quit wrenching about the time it was coming online.....As you were.. I truely don't miss wrenching... I just read through your link..Fun project, be more fun if you had access to the right tools, maybe Troy can hook you up...Parts guys usually know who the good techs are...
