My 70 Cuda power steering pump is puking oil out of the top of the pump. The oil is literally boiling in the pump. I am also lacking full time power assist.

I recently had the power steering gear unit rebuilt. What the heck is going on?

I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

if I had to guess, the valve on the top of the gear box is not adjusted properly.
that is also why you are lacking proper assist.

the two bolts that hold the part with the hoses going into it, needs to be loosened and moved around a bit to adjust.

put the car on stands so the fronts are off the ground.

DO NOT STICK YOUR ARM THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL.
start the car, and I bet the wheel turns on its own.

you will need to tap it forward or back (fire wall or to radiator) to adjust till it doesn't turn on its own.

I shut the car off and restart after each adjustment, but you could do it while running, but you will spew fluid.

Sounds more like a blockage somewhere.
A misadjustment will still allow fluidflow through the box.

Are the hoses swapped perhaps?
