For the repair on my oil leak in the port of my cylinder head!Scott knew just what to do,how.

I was unsure of where it was coming from fouling my plugs on the rear of the engine and Scott explained to pressurize the oil and check the intake port for a leak and sure enough there was some small holes from the oil passage to the rocker shafts.

So did you pull the head and take it up there?

Also is the epoxy strong enough to seal a pressurized oil passage with the heating and cooling cycles?

Glad the source was found

Ya I pulled the heads last night and took them to him this morning. There is a steel tube that was pressed into the passage for oil under the epoxy.

Just adding a small heads up on Epoxy. It appears they used Splashzone epoxy which is one of the best out there BUT if you clean it thoroughly and put 2 coat of clear lacquer spray paint on the epoxy it holds up to any alcohol that is in any gas that you may use. I keep a can or two handy and spray it into a small container and apply with a brush.

He used a sunen cylinder head machine to ream the passage to size[1/4"],cut some 1/4" brake line to length and tapped it into the head up to the turn into the rocker shaft perch and then sealed it with epoxy.it is not a DIY task and it took a couple time to perfect.

I see, I thought maybe the head got pooched from whom ever did the porting.

He's from Akron....cut him some slack...

and dont worry, the only alcohol he needs to seal up, is if he breaks his favorite beer mug...

I told Todd I was looking forward to meeting him at Norwalk a couple of years ago and suddenly his plans changed and he went to Florida instead. What's up with that.

I think that's still what happened... and may have a similar situation with my Hughes CNC-ported Victors in the same location of one or more ports.
