Go on up to 12* and see what a difference that makes. Set it with the vacuun advance disconnected.

It is back up to 12*. I had it here before I tore the engine down. However, I had a broken motor mount so I was unable to test my WOT run before the rebuild. There was still detonation though, but not now!

So currently, WOT and NO pinging or knocking. It was even 105 degrees outside for all of this. It doesn't diesel when I shut it down either (probably because it doesn't have enough carbon yet!)

Anyway, I have a rattling muffler that is aggrivating only when the trans is in gear, so I need to fix that, but I will be getting emissions done within the week!

Thanks for the help. I am glad I was able to fix it.
