A simple search on Summits site will tell you the standard length cable that comes with a new shifter..

5' cable is what is on my hurst pro-matic floor shifter. cable in front on shifter/cable hooks from front at trans lever.

is this a front feed or rear feed shifter? meaning.. does the cable hook to the front of shifter or back of shifter?

at the transmisssion you have a bracket that bolts to 2 pan bolts for the cable..is it front or rear feed to the shift lever?

you want to make sure it will push/pull the lever the correct way when shifting it.

with mine, the trans the lever is forward for park, cable pushes lever rearward for low gear.

I could prob get away with a 4' cable with mine, but the 5 speed is replacing the auto shifter.
