Domingo unless that clearance has been there all along (oversize from machine shop) a bigger lifter wouldn't be the way to go. I assume that is wear and if so the bore will not be round.

But if I can stick a feeler gauge thats 0,0025" in there common sense tells me that actual clearance is even more than that

My first thought. It sounds like re-bushing would be the most cost effective fix.

Its not wear, the engine has been run for a very short period. those bushings are fresh.

I will re-bush and add oiling holes.

A true ,904" lifter is not cost effective from what I have seen.

Maybe it slipped by.. but lifters need the clearance.

Not sure what the factory recommends but Jesel says.... http://www.jesel.com/innovation/lifters/bushings-and-retainers.html

and... http://www.dartheads.com/dartboard/archive/index.php/t-2429.html

Get and accurate measurement and then decide

Jesel reccomends 0.002"

My lifters are defintely too loose in those lifter bores. If that feeler gauge fits in between the lifter body and bushing I'm guessing I got 0.003" clearance at least. Im pulling the trigger and replacing them all, and incorporating a lubrication hole as well....

thanks for the replies guys!
