Just got the last of my parts in today thanks to the ups man. Thanks in advance to Todd at Marsh performance. 67 satellite street car. 4-speed car.
Stock block checked by very reputable local machine shop
505" eagle rotating kit w/ mahle pistons
Indy ez-1 heads
Harland sharps
Eddy super victor max wedge
Comp 306b solid roller car
1050 dominator.
11:1 ratio
No port work on heads for now. Building my dana set up for the back end. Thinking 4.56
Thoughts on power/ 1/4mi times?

with an engine like this, wouldn't think you'd need a 4.56 gear to run some decent numbers...though 4.56's aren't a horrid choice either. 4.30 would seem perfect for the number of cubic inches/cam/trans.

I'd think a car like this could run mid 10's fairly safely w/ good traction, good driver.

What size rear tire are you running? I would think you may outrun the 4.56s.

What size rear ties and rims? What type of rear suspension? Is it a 400 or 440 block or? I have a 1966 Satelite that I bought for parts, it seems to me those cars have very small rear wheel wells, may need to stretch the rear wheels wells and move the springs into the subframes to get a decent size tire on that car to hold that power

Also I think you may get better luck with responses in the race only section with this question.

I dunno but I run 11.30's w/ far less. I'd guess 10.80's or better, unless that's too much gear. 4.10's or 4.30's might be better. I'd think w/ the 4.56's you'll be pulling 2nd before the 60ft... better put a cage in the car or be prepaired to be asked to slow it down.

My milder 499" will run 10.9s so you should have the potential to run in the 10s. But 4.56s and 4 speed will make it difficult to hook that thing, IMHO.

What is your rear suspension like and what tires are you planing on running?

Master, again and still

If you're setting the car up for drag racing then spend a few minutes to work thru the calculations so you pick the correct rear gear. Even with the EZ heads the torque peak won't be very high, so you don't need steep gears. 3.90 might work or maybe 4.10. You need to run the numbers to figure it out.

The heads need to be looked at by someone before running them. Not sure if you got the heads direct or if Todd went thru them.
