I got the oil leak fixed it looks like... but I still need to jet this thing down.. still fat and the plugs are all loaded up with oil... I'm gonna pick up another set of plugs today and start fresh... it has 7"-8" of vac at idle in gear so the PV should be close.. sure hope it doesn't have a oil issue.. the pipes are still coated with oil(inside)... been trying to run it long enough to burn it out but I need to run it harder to clean them out... I dont see any oil when its idling... I tried the OD today for the first time.. I sure like that
Saw the video Mike, and it looks like an oil problem.. Hope not but there is still time to fix if it is..

Chris..
Its getting much better just running it... I still believe its my exhaust from the first engine.. being that my muffs are at the back bumper and on a angle I think there is a load of oil in them... I'm thinking of pulling them and spraying brake clean in them and dumping out what I can... with out running it on the road with some good exhaust flow it isnt getting hot enough to burn it out... nothing at idle and its getting better with reving it

And I thought I was the only one a car fought against. Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with it. You know it'll be worth it when you're done though. BTW, Happy Birthday. Tim

Thanks on the B-day... I went to change the electric stat for the fan today... I bought one this morning and its my luck... it was bad out of the box.. they will have a new one tomorrow....I think I'm gonna pull the intake tomorrow to check the backs of the valves to see if they have oil on them

I hope they are dry..
This is the engine with all the problems on the dyno??
I had one that just wouldn't get the rings seated, so I had to tear it down completely and re hone and used a standard tension ring and finally got them to seat.. Only happened to me one time over the years.
Happy Birthday..

Thanks... I hope to get out tomorrow afternoon and get a few miles on it
