Clonerunner came with a forward pattern manual valve body,Found T/A # "cheetah 17680-4 09086, no coast braking in 1st(assume this means no low gear band apply, eek)
fresh stock overhaul, no serious debris in pan, just a little pixie dust, fluid is nice and red.Putting on a deep pan and filter extension.Shifts great now, but wondered if I should set the bands now with the pan off?
And what would the settings be?
thanks,
Bear

I'm 55 now, no time to waste. Not a week goes by that I don't hear about someone passing on.Let's get out there, smoke some tires, have a beer with a good friend,do what you have always wanted to do.I am pretty sure no one will ever say on their deathbed "gee I'm glad my life was calm and boring"

All I can get from T/A instructions is for the front band, snug (10 lb/in) then back out 1.5 turns
"if hemi or wedge band" I assume that means not 6 cylinder. No mention of rear band at all.

UPDATE,front band, 10 inch lbs made zero sense to me, went 72 as always, backed out 1.5 turns as spec.

rear band 72 inch lbs then backed out 2 turns.Hope it works OK.
Final outcome: Test ran to MickeyDs last night, chirps second on easy upshift, think I got it right. Thanks for watching.
