got a pair of 4780 metering blocks also..

both stamped 4780-2

and one has a 8551 stamped on primary block and the secondary block has 8620 stamped on it...

they came off the same carb years ago.

The only stamping on mine is 11848 on both. No 4780 numbers at all.

Matches the info I posted. 4780-2 seems to be consistent.

Pretty odd, I'd expect the #s to be more related to the carbs, assuming the examples posted all metered correctly. My Sec block # is way off the # posted for the same carb.
Keith, did your 800DP work fine with those blocks in it? If so, send me a PM if you want to sell them or just the Primary.
I'm just stubborn enough to want this 800 to work properly.

Well, Primary block should be a # 6512. A buddy who has a complete original 4780 in his stash called me with the info. His is complete, so I can't rob the part, but at least I know what I'm looking for.

These blocks were on a customer's engine when it came in for some work,he ran it for a couple seasons.
I switched it over to some with adjustable emulsion because it was rich in the mid range when jetting for top end horsepower. Might be because they were wrong for the carburetor.
