I think he means natural gas motor. But he could mean normally goofy
mother@@&$)(, too.
There are problems with other nomenclature as well.
Now I am reading the question as can I convert a natural gas 5.9 Magnum engine to gasoline and put it in a Duster?
Dude, if this is indeed the question here're some answers.
First of all even though a 5.9 Mag engine has the same bore and stroke as a LA 360, it is not the same engine. It has a very similar block that will bolt into the Duster like a 360. It will bolt up to a LA transmission. But the amount of factory imbalance you need for torque converter is less. The cam is hydraulic roller and stock Mag engines have no provision for mechanical fuel pump. Doesn't matter the Carter electric Street Pump is better anyway.
You'll need a distributor from an earlier engine.
The intake I covered earlier.
Carb is your choice.
Headers or exhaust manifolds may work but bolt up the same as LA motors.
Heads are different but a lot better and compression should be 9:1.
I'd be very interested in seeing the natural gas injection setup.
