Finally got my angle welded in and holes drilled for my tank to mount.
Now I can go on to finishing bodywork on my bed. [image][/image]

this is where I did not think about the fill tube... I luck out and barly got it back far enuff to clear the valance on the lower edge of the bed.

I hacked out a sqaure spot and used a fill tube off a chebby stepside stuffed down in the tank neck, then used allmetal to bond it to the tank good. used my stock screw on cap.

I have a 6" pipe bumper welded to the frame and have a piece of angle welded to it to hold the tank.. cant move back any more.. but if I had test fitted the bed before I mounted the tank I could have moved forward and come up thru the floor.

I will be watching how you do yours. I have plans to add one to my 440 truck to ditch the 10 gallon cell feeding a 440.

this is the only part of the project I did not read/see how it was done. so I winged it and it shows.

your project is looking real good so far, nice.

BigEdsGarage... Yes they are.

Thanks Scratch, I did some looking around how you guys did yours and muddled my way through it. I am by no means a welder but was able to do this much. Once I get the bed on, I will take some more pics on my filler hose hookup.

Took a little hiatis from the truck being so busy with work, but I'm back on track now. Most of the truck just got painted this week. Can't wait to get it back and put interior back in and drive it. It's been 4 years!

I got a few more pictures sent to me from the painter. We graphed on a '70 Roadrunner bulge hood onto my '80 truck hood and Scott did a carbon fiber inlay. He hasn't wet sanded or buffed yet, its looking pretty sharp tho...I'm exited!

Not yet unfortunately. Next week I should have some pics with the hood on and hopefully the grille and bumper too. Waiting to get my grille back from the soda blasters so he can prime and paint it and my new bumper.

Beautiful paint job and prep. Just curious since I'm somewhat in your area who your painter is (and the soda blaster).
