Are there any out there?
I've done this before but I wonder if I am missing something. With the arm in the car, I installed the driver's side ball upper joint in my '68 BCuda with no issues, but that did not hold true for the passenger side. I used the appropriate socket tool, started both sides by hand, then used a ratchet, then a breaker bar.
The passenger side went halfway in, and then bound up shortly after I began using the breaker bar. It wouldn't back off, and I had to bring the upper arm to a shop down the street. When the ball joint came out, both the threads on the ball and upper were destroyed.
These are new tubular uppers with the big ball joints for '73+ disc brakes. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I'm not looking forward to buying another pair - it seems no-one is willing to sell them as singles
