It sucks being on a tight budget, but someone locally is selling his pizza rims with good 195-65/15 BFG Touring tires. I realize they are 15X6, but can I get away with using them? They can be had for $100, off his Shadow. With these rims, what size tire am I limited to?
Thanks again for all the help!

Slap'em on and enjoy, can't beat the price.

The original size on the Daytona with the same rim was 195/60-15. The ones you have will be a shade taller but won't hurt anything if they fit a Shadow.

Drove to Bayonne.... in the rain.
Dude had a Shadow 2.2 turbo I had lusted after with the crab rims, no less. He wanted to trade, nothing I had. Nice car in person.
Well the tires are from 1988. These BFG's had seen better days, but the rims are 7-8 out of 10. Walked out $80 lighter, which I thought was ok ($20/per? not too shabby)He wanted $125.
NOW I need to find some sneakers for these....
195/60/15's are the biggest I can go?
If weather holds, I may install them tomorrow with the BFG's for now

No, I was just pointing out a stock size.

I have seen 225/50-15's on Daytonas with pizza wheels (including my own) but the tire selection for 15's is starting to get thin..

Good choices in 15" tires is thin, real thin, Pirelli P Zeros and Kuhmo Ecsta AST in 225/50R15 is about it at the Tire Rack.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Well, I replaced the rear springs with the K car wagon spec (Moog 8621). A local guy made a deal with me to purchase from him ($59 with tax). Brand new in the box.

Installed the pizza wheels today while I had everything off. Bad news is that the floors are rotting out from under this thing. Frame and all mechanicals are in great shape. I'm not too worried at this point, If time and money allows, I'll repair them.

Car handles much better, the ass end is up and feels real tight. Ran it through some curves and feels level. I think if I get the Daytona sway bar, this thing should run on rails.

I think I'm going to opt for the 195/60/15's as the speedo should work the same as the 175/80/13's that were on it. I have some time and may change my mind....the 196/65's feel pretty good, even though the speedo is 5 MPH slow.

With a good set of tires and decent tires it should handle as well as a Daytona, the only difference in suspension was spring rates and bushings in key areas.

Post a picture of the car if you have a moment.

One more
I'm seriously considering the 225/50/15's. There is a tire size selector on TurboDodge and it seems that the 195/60 and 225/50 are pretty close on diameter. The 195/65's run the speedo 4 to 5 MPH slow. The bank account is a bit low and I need to get my shorty headers for the road runner and the final $250 for my divorce. So I'll have to put off the tire purchase for a bit. If the road runner isn't done, I'll be taking the Reliant to Carlisle. Hey, it's a MoPar!!
