Guys I have a 98 Ram quad cab that's got rust in the doors. I have found a rust free 96 Ram extended cab, but NOT a quad cab, and need to know for sure that the 2 main driver and passenger doors from the 96 will work on the 98? I ask because the salvage yards have told me that the doors off a reg cab, although they look the same, are indeed different, so I just want to be sure that even though this 96 is an extended cab, that there isn't something there that would keep it from being a viable swap. I'm going to look at the truck this afternoon to buy or not buy so I need to know asap. Also, the mirrors are different, the 96 has the metal mirrors where the 98 has the black plastic. will the 98 mirrors work on the 96 doors?
