What cam would you choose???

68 Dart with 340, Prepped RHS heads, RPM air gap intake, 750dp holley, 1" spacer, 727tf, 3.91/8.75" sure grip, 275/60/15s. I haven't picked a converter yet. The car is a street car with an occasion pass down the 1320. I don't really have a preference between solid lifter vs. hydraulic.

Any ideas???

How much of a choppy idle can you handle.

For a solid, the comp XS282S is pretty nasty in a 340 and would have that set up making in the 450hp range.

Pick what you want and go. Hyd or solid.

Buy a good converter, will make a lot of difference.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I believe the cam that's in it now is the 474 MP purple shaft. Would upgrading the cam even be worth it when I swap over to the RHS heads?

depends if you want more of less pop! The 474 is a good cam but should be degreed properly with a couple three extra degrees of advance.

Ask Brian. He won't steer you wrong if you are honest about your expectations.

Will the 474 cam work. Yes. It definitely won't use the potential in the RHS heads.
