I'm fixing to have my 904 auto transmission rebuilt and needed some information before ordering. The current engine is pushing around 400-425 hp at the crank. I also have a 9" PTC 3500 stall converter. Lastly, I have the TCI Streetfighter shifter.
I'm looking for a tough yet reliable rebuild kit along with a shift kit. I want it to upshift and downshift right when you move the lever, with no lag. Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a guy that sells billit pistons in the race parts section, get them all and get the ones that prevent movement of the accumulator.
Also I like to use the 5 clutch front drums and 4 in the rear clutch with all flat snaprings, no wavys any where in the trans. Use the TF2 kit for an auto shift and TF3 for manual shift. When drilling the holes in the seperator plate go to the maximum size, it will not be too hard of a shift.
