Hello Tim, If this was the oil it was fired up with I'd change it ASAP & would have right after the 30 minute break in was done. If not & this is the 2nd batch I'd leave it in & here's some good (related) reading for you. "breakin secrets" at www.mototuneusa.com. VG info on ring breakin

The 100 miles was with a couple of changes of the non synthetic Brad Penn break in oil. The 100 miles was pretty mild on the motor with a few stop light romps. I was just curious when I could start using the regular synthetic Brad Penn oil. Hi Rob, I didn't do a 30 minute break in due to it having a roller cam setup. Thanks

The "regular" Penn oil is semi-syn, not a full syn....
As to your answer..if you call ring mfgs, engine builders, etc you will get answers all over the place.
Ive decided that 500 miles, especially if you make a few hard passes, is plenty.
72 RR, Pump gas 440, 452s, 3800 lbs, Corked, ET Radials,. 11.33@117.72.
Same car, bone stock 346s, 9.5 comp, baby solid. 12.24@110.
