Hey gang...
I'm just curious. I'm putting together my buddy's '71 Challenger R/T. I'm a B-body guy and learning a lot on these E's..... On the rear trunk harness routing, does harness route over the top center of the wheel well housing or dip down forward of the wheel well housing and run along the inside junction of the housing and trunk floor. Also, there's the white plastic retainer that's incorporated on the harness. I'm sure it is suppose to push over one of the tabs tack-welded to the floor pan by the jack...

Thanks in advance for any pictures and/or mentoring....

T

Old Harness with two retaining tabs that were once attached to the floor pan? Maybe the body shop accidentally ripped them off?

The tail light harness on e-body challenger runs up and then along the underside of the trunk gutter channel.
There should be a small tab welded to the underside of the trunk gutter that the white plastic retainer slides over. The tab is then bent over to secure and hold the harness. Depends on the year but there is also a tab located on body panel where the the tail lights mount

Hey Mike !!!!!

Man-oh-man........ After seeing your '71 file, I got home and immediately went to the garage. Stuck my head in the truck with a flashlight and low and behold !!! The harness tabs are there... Don't disown me, I know the harness doesn't have the protective netting sheath on it.. What's up with that? I'll tell my buddy, but it's probably not a big deal to him....
