My B1's came in today, they had info stamped all over them, which I felt was good. But I would like to know the company or individual that did them. They look to have been hand ported and not CNC'ed. They were stamped reading 67 cumbustion , 416 intake cfm, 3o2.5 intake. The front of the heads have no bracket bolt holes drilled n tapped. The porter also left these numbers on the front of the head. The valve sizes show 2.30 and 1.81 for exhaust.

I have'nt decided what cube engine to build with this set as of yet, but I traded my fresh Indy 440-1c heads for them. I made this trade by the post I made and everyone said it would be a good trade for me. The B1's haven't been run since they were sent back from the porter, as far as I can tell with the magic marker nubers, yellow marker on the valves, no signs of carbon. They were also cut for 7/16 pushrods. Looks like all new exhaust valves installed thus the 1.81 size I believe.

Just keeping this up close to the top, hoping someone will recognize the head porters brand.

And maybe some suggestions on the next size build to do with these heads.

I understand the wish to know who did them, but all you could do with the info is guess Hp anyway. If those heads were mine I would put all the cubes in the motor I can, based on what strength I have in the block I want to use. I wish I had done that with my 440-1 heads. I am making good power, but have left some on the table in trying to stay with my converter, gear, tire combo.

Best bet is to contact the person you traded with and see if they have a receipt for the work.

He got the heads years ago at a race car garage sale and never bothered getting the info from the guy, then when he took them to his machine shop to see about a build with them on a 440, his machinist said no way on a 440, so there they sat in his closet , fresh built and never run. Since then he has always run Indy heads on everything.

I was thinking 540 or 572, but now thinking 572. It would be nice to know who done these, but either way, as mentioned, they should make some good power.

I would just take them to a trusted shop and have them checked out. Have them checked on a flow bench just to see were they are flow wise as that helps with cam choose. Anything around 400cfm and over will make a great build. Have him check and set up your valve springs and go have fun. If you post some nice picture someone may recognize them but if sitting long will still need checked out.
