For my situation, you make a great case. I am seriously considering it. Thanks!

One think I didn't find an answer to. Back when we would run Methanol in our race cars, it would "milk" the oil with one night of drag racing. Does E85 do that?

I think you wet down the cylinder walls and the fuel passed the rings and into the oil.

The one big thing I did not find out much is Water. With wood alcohol there is a tendency for it to be hydroscopic (sp?) meaning it likes to absorb water. So I do not know much about how storage would be with the material in the car for long periods.

You may want to do a search in the 'Unlawfl's Race Only' section since there are several in there that race with just E85.

I am still researching it myself and like I said would have already converted but there are basically only 2 stations in all of southern California

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

I see at least 4 here:

"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

I may actually consider it if I was in diego land but only two are within 60 miles of me. Both are over 50 miles away. Not too convenient. I'm in the oc.

Thanks

Whats the compression on the currant motor ? are the pistons domed or flat top ? what does it have for a cam ? It has iron heads ?

You could look in to changing to an aluminum head and/or play with cam timing.
