Just like Pinks, this show seems to be more about the arguing or negotiating than about the racing. And there is almost nothing about the machines themselves.
A soap opera about drag racing.
Rich is certainly more excited about the negotiating than the cars or the racing.
I am glad to have a drag race oriented show, but it is not very good.
Master, again and still

everything else aside... you guys dont do much street racing for money..cuase thats about how it goes on the street racing scene that ive watched....although for usually more money and the fear of guns has been removed at the payout..and less foul language
it think its corny..but atleast its about racing fwiw.. I mean we could just go back to watching espn interview Warren johnson wine and complain and Force talk about his daughters...and paul page fumble everything...
the only other thing i might suggest would be funner to watch is all the brothers sitting in the burnout seats...and takin bets on the lanes... that is always worth standing around and listening/watching..sometimes its better than the actual race...

I have been there at Irwindale and watched. You are right it is street racing at the track, and the negotiations are key.
Here are a few things I see.
a)Racers are racing with the shows money, it only costs $20 for a tnt night, and the show picks the cars they want to use.
b) it is drawing alot of cars/people we do not normally see to the track, which is helping a stuggling track to make some money and stay open.
c) I love bracket racing my junk, but I'll run in thier format if I'm picked, and hopefully make a few bucks. You are not putting up your own money.
d) unless they change it up you will not see the tree used. We were told before negotiations on a buddy's car if we used the tree and won it would not pay any money but we could race again later on.
I have mixed feelings about the whole deal, hopefully it will help the track. Also it could get a few more people interested in drag racing again.

some of these guys would [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] and complain if they paid them to show up and gave them 10k

here is my take. I was on this show with the dart and lost i think it will be cool to be on tv. win or lose. but as some of you no irwindale race way got shut down.this show like it or not has saved our track and gave all us racers some place to race again. I will be the first to admit the show could be better. but it is a form of drag racing so I would like to thank the LUCAS family and rich. for coming out to irwindale. rumor has it the north east will be the next stop

I thought Irwindale had been going again for quite awhile doing the every Thursday night TNT for the last year or so. Are you saying that the only reason they started up again was in anticipation of a promise of the show shooting there?
How has the filming effected the regular TNTers who aren't in the show? Do they get as many runs as on the nights when they don't film? Thanks for any info, looking forward to checking this track out but not for reasons of the show being there.

It closed in feb. reopen may, but has been on a very tight budget. turn out in the fall last year, and jan this year was weak. Feb had the most cars I've seen in a long time.
If you don't want to be around the show comeout the 2nd or 4th thursday of the month and please buy into the king of the hill bracket. $10 watch, $20tnt, $20 buy in K.O.H bracket 100% to winner or split racers decide. I guarantee you will not be the only Mopar there.
Also 1st Summit race of the year this sunday, limited tnt will be available.
