Getting ready to tear down the Demon for paint. Planned on taking the motor/trans out through the bottom (remove suspension and k member) since I have a lift.

I am welding up a "carriage" to hold the front of the car while I roll it around the shop. I have two 350 lb casters laying around but don't know if that will do the trick (700 lbs total). What does the front of an A body weight with no suspension, hood, motor, trans?

If I remember correctly me and my friend lifted the front of his '69 Bee when it was in this condition. It couldn't have been more than 500 lbs but that doesn't seem right.

727=120#
torque converter=20#
SB?=525#
front suspension=200#?
My Dart weighs 1892 front/1370 rear
If all the weight comes off the front, which it wont, that gives us 1027# with my numbers.
