If you're using one of those cam bearing/buttons.. what is the clearance spec between the bearing and and the timing chain cover?

Thanks

A roller cam is more critical for tolerance, than a solid flat or hydraulic. Becuase of the bronze dizzy shaft. I try to set mine under 3 thou. Make sure what ever you are setting with, that the timing cover does not flex.

FYI. There is NOT enough clearance in the oil pump to allow one of those little bearings to pass through, if it comes out/loose and gets into the oil pan.

I like to see .005 max cold before putting any tension on the camshaft, IE no pushrods to the rocker arms
