Will a stock Dana 60 handle 670 pounds of torque without any issues? Any suggested upgrades? Original rear end in 69 GTX.

Should be fine. is it clutch type sure grip??
I used to replace one of the flat sets of clutches for an extra concaved for more pressure!

Are you planning on trying to hook on a prepped surface with sticky tires? If that is a yes I'd be worried about those 23 spline axles. I'd give Dr. Diff a call and get a Power-lock rebuild kit with 35 spline spider gears and some 35 spline axles coming.

If it an automatic OK, or 4 speed with street tires, still OK..

Slicks, and 4 speed ... need axles replaced.
