The SS springs have a different front segment dimension, so not legal as stated above. What I did on my Mirada was to get a set of SS springs. Take them apart and put the packs under the Miradas original main leaf. Clamp the front at three places. None in the back. The car 60ed at 1.5ish in K at 3700lbs. Don't forget to put a quality shock in the front end and loosen the heck out of the control arm busshings. Had Rancho shocks in the rear.

Paul Rossi did something like this when he raced an F body. He removed the main spring from a set of superstock springs, then determined where he wanted the remaining springs under the original F body mainspring. Then he drilled the hole for the centerbolt of the springs to be where it needed to be. Then tune the supension to what it needs to be.
Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen!
Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!
