Snowing in the north!
I just installed the new rear springs on my 70 swinger and it still looks a little low to me.
Does anyone have the correct height for the rear of the car? I am measuring about 21" from the ground to the center of the wheel lip.

All I can do is show you a pic of my sons Dart with my 63. Maybe this will give you an idea on how it should sit. Ron

Heres mine, 225-70-14s on the rear. I believe they are stock springs bt theres some funky coil over shocks on it.

I have standard shocks (kyb) on mine and it looks
like I have about an inch from the top of the rim
to the wheel well. Yours is sitting about an inch
higher than mine is. Anything else in the suspension
cause this?

He's got coil over shocks mine does too, sits lower than his, but my springs are worn out. Standard shocks on the will drop it an inch or so.

Here is a page with some scans of the original brochures. It might help to give you an idea of how they sat when new.

I have about an inch or so of tire showing above
the top of the rim on mine, so I guess it kind
of looks like yours. Maybe I am just used to looking at my jeep too much?

I like a little rake to a Dart. I think maybe I
am too used to how my 'Cuda looks and the Jeep
I have of course it jacked up.

I talked to ESPO about re-arching the springs which they will do for free, but shipping will be over 100 bucks. Am I better off trying the coil over shocks to get that inch or so back or have them re-arch the springs?

I'd be happy with that. I am closer to your old
than new. What are you using for shocks?

My ESPO's are in between the two. I like the rake of your new springs. I might have to get mine
arched up an inch or two....

My 68 is 23.5 with 26" tires and I believe SS springs.

oops it has adjustable shackles and it's in the 3rd hole so that probably put's it up higher too, also Competition engineering adjustable shock's.

Adam,

Yours will drop at least an inch when you get the bumper etc. installed and have 150 lbs of fuel in your tank.

This is where mine sits. I guess it's not too bad,
but I was expecting it to sit higher with new springs as it will settle some.
