I had a pro ratchet in my daily driven dart for a few years, what a pain in the _ _ _ ! Never again. Get a 1/4 stick or one of the other shifters recommended.

im gettin ready to put one in my car ,what didnt you like about it?

The shifter worked exactly how it should, that wasn't an issue. My main qualm is there is no quick way to get from the most rearward position to reverse or park if needed. There are situations in which I thought this was a hindrance. Your results may vary, 95% of the time it was fine.

Like what problems? It`s probably the most simple shifter out there............

I have the B&M Pro Ratchet in my Coronet cruiser. Works perfect and is easy to use. I love it. I've had a QuckSilver before too. Really nice shifter for racing or street cruising.

I only run Pro Ratchets, I tried a 1/4 Stick once and hated grabbing the lever to go to 3rd.

I have had a B&M Pro in my last three cars, and installed several more for friends. Can't miss a gear.

Won a $1200 race when my opponent went 1st to 3rd with his Turbo-Action shifter. I rarely find a Turbo Action owner that won't admit they have gone 1st to 3rd at least once. Thats enough to convince me not to buy one.

Here is a pic of the new Pro Ratchet I have on the shelf now for my next project.

That looks nice, my next car will have that!

I tried a Cheetah once also, went from 1st to 3rd way to easily. Never any problems with the Pro Ratchet.
I like the looks of the PPP precision shifter but I just don't care for messing with a lever to pull 3rd.
