Think I found my problem though. Put on another alternator and the pulley was farther out from the case verses the previous alternator I was running ( about 1/4" ). I assumed they would be the same because the cases were identical. DUUU. Also an unbelievably [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] 60 ft time. I've had 5 triple zero lights and 3 of them were in one season... 2 were clean full passes with a win light(both of those I won the event) the other one was at Norwalk on a time trial and came down and broke a tie rod end.... aborted EDIT Congrats to the OP for doing it Last edited by MR_P_BODY; 01/29/13 06:58 PM.

I have done it in TT's but without the pressure of a real race I don't use it for more than setting up the car for going some rounds.

You got a hand written time slip with the ET and MPH on it. --- and often just the MPH. Early in 63 my home track still used a flag man start. A Handycap start was you or the other guy marched down the track a certain # of car lengths. I probably had 10 or 20 000"s and never knew it - just kidding. Fastest 300

I remember being WOW'd by seeing them for the first time. I thought "Man, we getting with MODERN stuff now!" The funny thing is that the hand-written cards are still readable. The more modern timeslips' ink fades after a couple of years to the point that keeping them is useless. Well, I guess not any MORE useless than keeping 35 or 40 year old business cards with ET and mph scrawled on the back... with an occasional WIN written across the top.

Funny thing is we didn't know just how good we had it back then. The more info that was put on a timeslip, the more money we all spent just to chase all of those numbers! I can remember when Fremont staring giving us reaction times. We would brag about anything better than a .5-anything on the long tree.
