1972 E body...73 had soft backs. The seats also taper a little more at the top shoulder area on the later seats

This is an original factory 72 E body seat

Show us the tracks please!! If they havent been taken apart then that will be the tell tale sign. They are at least 72 and up as the plastic covers are one piece and the 70-71 had a steel hinge cover!

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.

Those should be for the 70-71 as they have the cross over cable for the inner track lock, and I believe they went to the outer track lock only in 72. If yours are original then maybe sometime in 72 was the change over.

I have never had my seats out. Going to have to eventually but if the cable was used up to 71, what did the change to? How is the other track released on the 72 and later? Mines a '74

When they changed from the inner lock track then only the outer track locks and the inner track is free sliding.

Is that a 318 or 360 rallye car? I have a 318 74 rallye myself.
