Not sure who keeps bumping this up, but here's an update.
When I lost the u-joint, it cause more damage than I thought. I got under the car to adjust the clutch and the tie rod ends to make a trip to the Nats. I found this. [

Good that you found it before you hit the road. I had a bellhousing crack in two radially once and the pistol grip about beat me silly before I could get stopped.

Seriously, imagine what would have happened if the trans had dropped down. Yikes.

It was ugly enough when the u-joint went. I thought the car was going to vibrate apart. Also happy it stayed in one piece.

Maybe not soon, per se, but I will have it in upgraded and roaming again in early '15. I've located and purchased some things I need to fix it, and I've made a deal on the Dart that will get me some clean sheet metal for future repairs.

As often happens, some deals fell through and the project is getting sidelined. It's tucked away in a storage unit, and I'm starting to research what to do as far as long term storage. The gas tank may need either flushed out or filled up with Sta-Bil added. I don't want to muck up my new fuel system. The brakes I'm good with, I used silicon brake fluid and stainless lines(don't ask me why, I think I just got sucked into shiny things. They make the crusty underside look worse! ), so the brakes should hold up. I'm grabbing some desiccant packs from work for moisture buildup.

Sorry to hear that, but I know the feeling.
I was supposed to restore my 69 Post Coupe 5 years ago, and I decided to go to law school instead - the car has sat since, and I'm just itching to get to work on it, but there's just no time with starting my career.

Good luck getting it stored and you'll get to it soon!

with our winters (hope not another one like last year) the car would be parked anyway, SO save up some coin and have it ready for Spring.

You can always sell it and then not have to stress over it any more.

Oh, there is no stress. It's tucked away. It's paid for. If someone comes along with a stack of cash, I'll sell it. The likelihood of that happening is pretty slim!
I have plans, but right now my daily driver is at 194,000 miles and I am starting to look for a newer replacement. I need some things around the homestead and the Bee is third in line right now. I'll keep my eyes open for a deal on a bellhousing and a bearing retainer and put it back togther sometime soon. But I need to do the front end before it gets some serious miles on it.

Cool! Your Bee is a favorite of mine on here. The wheels you have on the car now are cooler than those xmas Centerlines you plan to put on it

Thanks! Centerlines have always been my favorite. My guess is I will have a new set of wheels on it pretty frequently. I still want to try Super Sports, and chrome Magnum 500's. Maybe steelies and dog dishes... But it was coded for road wheels, so I think I like the idea of Magnums on it, even if they aren't "right".

Dang D just seeing this. I had C-lines on my '70 betterbee. Looks like you have some well thought investments there.
