Price one out and you will see that it is not cheap to build any brand in that HP bracket. It's just money.......spend away.

1200 hp costs roughly block 6,000 rods 1500 pistons pins rings 1500 crank 3,000 intake 3,000 carbs 2,000 belt drive 1400 front drive distributer 500 rocker arms 3500 cam ,push rods, lifters etc 2,000 head complete CNC titanium valves, etc 7500 oil pan oil pump etc 1,000
plus machine work and labor
This adds up to
$32,900 if anyone was curious. Not including the machine work and labor. So add 4-10K more for that and incidentals
Or, buy Al's 99 and make 1340+ for a fraction.
Of course I didn't include any over the top additions as in diamond coated valves in mine. 175.00 each , CAMFX rollers 1500.00, actual cost my pistons, rings, pins and coatings 2250.00, machine for 55 mm rollerized cam bearings, cost rod, main, cam bearings all coated.studs for heads and mains.Vacume pump 1700.00 In all total costs were close to 42,000
604" net result 1178 HP 860 lb torque all motor
home of the Sox and Martin Hemi Duster

Isn't it fun to make Real HP numbers!!! Should we tell them what it cost to keep these engines happy with maintenance and rebuilds?
