Aj, Mark, and I are pleased to announce that the 6th Annual Steel City Practice Tree Shootout, presented by Pittsburgh Raceway Park, will be Saturday, March 2. As it has been the last 4 years, the practice tree race will be at the New Alexandria Fire Hall, 8370 Route 22, New Alexandria PA 15670. Coming from the west, it's on the left side of Route 22 about 1/4 mile past the Sheetz at 22/981. Coming from the east on 22, it's on the right about 1/2 mile past PRP.

Saturday, March 2, doors open 11:30am, $5 cover charge to all, which gets you lunch, 12:30 little race ($5 entry) starts, big race ($20 entry) starts after little race is completed. Double entries allowed in both. No reentry or buybacks in little race. Big race will have reentry for first round losers (win reentry round to get back into round 2). Last year, little race paid $225 to win, $100 runner up, $25 semis, $10 quarters. Big race was on schedule to pay $1000 to win, $300 runner up, before the remaining racers agreed to a split.

1 day away! Weather is looking a bit cold, but it will be warm inside the fire hall, with great food, great competition, and great friendship! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, and thanks once again to all of our sponsors and those making food for their generosity!

Leftovers? What the heck is that. Thanks for the sticky Ted, and I am looking forward to tomorrows Practice Tree Race. Thanks Chuck, A.J. and Mark for putting this together every year and for all the hard work you guys do. This is a GREAT smoke free, alcohol free, FAMILY event where you can either sit-back and watch or participate, but most of all its about good Friends spending the day together. See ya tomorrow Chuck.

Thank you Ted!

Yeah, leftovers = Grinch Who Stole Christmas:
And the one speck of food
That he left in the house
Was a crumb that was even too small for a mouse.

I have to pick up the hot sausage Carmen is cooking tomorrow morning... it's a long ride from Ionadi Auto Sales to the firehall... I may be having a reeeeealllly good breakfast!!

John, thanks for all you do to support us, and most especially, what you and everyone do to support Karen, Ashley, and Bob, as we remember our Nikki

Results. I'M FULL. Mopart's member Nick Bowman won the little race cutting some excellent lights. My son Matt (whiskyrunner) made it down to 6. Sorry Ted but I will try to find out from Chuck the other winners.
Instead of entering the race I bought Matts second entry in the big race so I could do what I do best, Eat and BS.
The small block Chevy Victor JR. manifold that I ported and donated to the Thinking of Nicky Foundation was won by a gentleman from Ohio. (Bob Singer or Singel) We also had a 50-50 drawling for this cause. I would Like to thank Chuck, A.J. and Mark for all the hard work they do every year putting this together and to all that donated food. An excellent time was had by all. The big race once again paid at least 1000 dollars to the winner. Not a bad pay day for a 20 dollar entry fee.

Its a great time Ted and these guys work their butt off every year putting it together. I arrived early to help set up and I swear every group walking thru the door was bringing in a dessert or covered dish. They take some verbal abuse every year for the no smoking, no drinking policy but if you would see the young kids and babies in attendance having a great time every year you would understand.

Update on the winners.
Kevin Romeo and Mark Vasbinder agreed to a 600-500 split in the final.
Kevin won taking the 600
Mark V. 500
Matt Obertanic-200.00 semi
Brian Cireddy-200.00 semi

Between the manifold I put up and a 50-50 drawling 375 dollars was raised for the Thinking Of Nicky Foundation.
