Called my local, and only trustworthy, driveshaft shop today to get a price on a new shaft for my glide swap. For a new shaft with a powerglide yoke and small chrysler rear was going to be $332 for a 3" steel shaft. Is that price out of line? seemed high to me but I have also never had a new one made, always just have it cut and balanced.

I gave $345.00 plus shipping for mine from Driveshaft Specialists in Texas,, so it don't seem out of line to me., and I supplied the yoke.

I just had a 3.5" shaft made for my diesel pickup....$550 with slider, ujoints. To lengthen the front shaft and build the new rear one was $650. Thats after he cut me some deals on parts, and ate some shipping.

I was going to have $1200 in a new front and rear shafts, so I think your doing ok.
