The post showing the old speed shop got me to thinking so went to the garage to see what I had old from back then. Neat looking set up here to add in some dry ice and cool down the fuel!!! What a great enhancement from back in the day I'm sure it got me at least a tenth in ET and maybe even more . Hmmm maybe I should put it on my car now Russ

The problem with those old cool-cans is that the fuel line size inside them is probably inadequate for today's race engines. I have an old Moroso one collecting dust somewhere in the attic.
Yea I know that but could take that stuff out and use it for my radiator overflow just for the cool factor

Had one of those on my Buick when I raced it. If nothing else it made a great place to keep a can of Pepsi cold. Guys freaked out first time I pulled into staging and lifted a can out.
Put a cool can back on my 63 this summer. Because its a street car and in the 100 degree hot and humid heat I had some problems with this 92 pump fuel boiling a little after a hot soak. So if I went for a long cruise in the 95 to 110 degree humid days I would put an ice pack in the cool can and it defenitly helped. If it was a long ride to a show I would throw an extra ice pack in the cooler in the trunk for the ride home. Ron

Apart from the very neat way they have clearanced the sump, what other mods does it have?
Do you know the history of this part or the car it came out of? and what future do you have planned for it?

Good thing it was way to big for me so it was put away for a looong time. Otherwise I would have probably destroyed it Thanks Mom for hiding it from me for all those years

Old electronic ignitions still new in the boxes, the Mallory uses a chrysler style box and rotor to make it work on chevy and ford distributers.

Amongst other things, we collect old automotive test equipment - actually, my wife does. I get to restore it. We have a garage ( 3 car ) attached to the house that is my wifes "show garage". Warmed over 360 & 727 are waiting my wifes next project - for me to do.

A friend bought a 63 Max Wedge car out of California and found and extra set of ported heads in the trunk, so he sold them to me. After cleaning them up I noticed DLI between the exhaust ports. The port work is increadible for something that was done by hand probably 30-40 years ago.

I had one of those!! It took me years to find one, i used it for a year then sold it. I should have kept it because as far as looks go they're probably the coolest small block intake ever made.

Guy was getting ready to throw this out. I got it from him in pieces (3 seperate milk crates ). It was a mess, but all there. Now completely restored and in operable condition ( not just a shell ). "Air me up Scottie"!

1980's NOS B&M supercharger kit for small Chrysler...
Ha! I wonder if that was the kit I sold years ago. Picked it up from a guy getting a divorce, was new in the box when I had it. Then I sold it without ever using it!

Since were posting "old fart" equipment... Now that the new garage is built I have started filling it with equipment I can and will use.
Not so useful on todays cars but were a godsend when I entered the trade back in the early 80's.

I have an old SnapOn tune up tool in the garage.Shows dwell RPM etc.Brother bought it at a garage sale.Have an Old mopar polish can and an ols I believe Sunoco flush can. When a local Dodge dealer closed in the 80s the instructor at the University got a ton of Factory parts books.I have probally 5 or 6 factory binders over stuffed with probally 10 or 15000 pages mostly all 50s and 60s.Worst part is they had a ton of NOS partsb that he told them to toss in the trash. Some were back to the 30s.Man did that get me POed.They even trashed old Mopar signs etc.He told me about that stuff after they threw it all in the dumpster.Rocky
