I started in '74 with this 6-cylinder brand-C car. Ran it at the first bracket finals at Bowling Green in '78. The best it ever did was 15.90's...

Bought this 66 Dart in 1974 as in 71 I was still in high school. I drove this on the street until 1978 and then I started bracket racing it. I put a 340 four speed in it and had alot of fun bracket racing with a stick car. Ran a best of 11.90's at 113. Rolled it in 1982. Ron

And now of course. I did like that 66 Dart as it was kinda rare but I do like this 63 even better. Ron

Almost forgot in 1995 after I had married and had a few kids I bought this 72 Dart. Cloned it like a 70 Swinger 340 and dropped a mild 383 in it for the street. Ran 12.30's @ 110 and then I sold it real cheap to my son in 2004. Now it has a .030 over 400 and has run 11.40's @ 117. Ron

You're right about that.

In 71 I was 10 and drooling over the cool Mopars my uncles had. My brother had a 67 400 4 speed GTO, the fastest I remember it going was when my Dad would pull it home on Saturday morning after my brother would break it on Friday night . I can still pi$$ him off telling that.

Yea we are some old farts. I will always remember that in 1970 when I was 14 my buddy and I used to cut thru the alley and by his neighbors house to go to the 5 & 10 store and sitting in his neighbors garage was a 1967 Cuda 383 four speed. It was a fastback that was black with a red stripe and man was it a cool car. My buddy told me he picked him and the guys brother up one day when they had caught some tadpoles. He said he spilled the wated on the back seat when he layed into it and to him at that time that 383 Cuda was the fastest car in the world. The garage had no doors so we always looked at the car when we went by. Ron

Me in 1971--19 yrs old--had a real nice 65 Satellite with a 273 auto. It was real nice until I started hacking on it--bought and installed a 340 and 4-speed from a 1968 Dart--I still remember rolling around on the garage floor in a lake of 90-weight gear lube. Never took this car to the track, did a little street racing--probably would have been a mid-14 sec. ride.

My 1973 Cuda--340 4-speed car--bought it new--within the first year I pulled the engine and installed my '68 motor. Raced brackets around Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Denver, car ran 12.70s @ 105 consistently. I think after a few years of hacking, car weight was down to 2850.

Continued to hack on the Cuda, bought a MP 426 Hemi, the car was extremely nose-heavy, best E.T. was around a 10.30. Completely dismantled the car and built a full CM chassis with strut front end and coil overs. Sold it as a roller before I ever raced it again.

Didn't race at all from 1981 until I bought my current Super Gas Lebaron in late 2004. Now just beating my head against the wall trying to get me a NHRA wally.

Old, yes--I might very well become the Chris Karamesines of Super Gas! And yes, my mom did that shirt all by hand--don't know how many hours she spent.
