ok guys didn't want to hi jack the other post so here goes..... i need to get a filter for my set up and was wondering did i have to buy the 1 from killer rons are are you guys running something diff?????? i may be asking a lot of ??? on this as i am new to it.. i will be in touch with james from killer rons as well...also where is a good place to buy a test kit for the alky?????thanks guys

their kits used to come with a filter,not sure if they still do.the first time in the water box was scarey,the rpm's went to the moon because i just mashed the loud pedal like it was a carb.

yea i got a set up from a member off his ride....so i have to replace the filter,mandrel,and fuel pump belt...

I have Ron's pump with a Moroso inline filter before the pump but dont have a toilet using a Chuck Nyutten carb. Dont know if that helps or not

Yes as long as they can tolorate water IE not paper filters

This is the filter I used. Got it from Speedway Motors. I like having a fuel shutoff at the filter.

I believe any filter with a stainless steel mesh screen (not a paper element) of the correct filter rating and flow will be fine. The filters that Ron's carry are easy to install since they have male AN ends that a normal female hose end attaches to. 2" dia filter section, S.S. basket screen.

Most important is to make sure you filter your fuel as you fill your tank. I use a jaz funnel and a system one stainless filter on the out side of the pump. If you use a pre filter make sure it is large or the pump will cavitate. Alky is a very dirty fuel.

Yep that's the exact filter I used for years...worked great, no issues and as you and others have mentioned...James Monroe is the "man".
