anyone know of a quality race oil pan that doesn't have to be mutilated to fit a 4.25 stroke small block (340 mains)
Thanks for any info., Merry Christmas
Jim.

I went with a custom pan years ago and even at $550 it was worth every cent. I have four old ones (for BBs) in my storage shed. If you plan on going faster and faster, now is the time to get the best pan you can!

Emailed Charlie's back in the summer regarding what was needed for a new oil pan with kickouts, notches, tray, etc., and he nailed it spot on. He kept his promised lead time too!

My kevco cleared my 4.25 crank without too much work but clearing my hooker headers was another story. Lots of work and cussing

What rod journal is the crank? And is it a caps crew rod? A 2" journal 4.25 doesn't poke out very much more from the crank center than a 4" with standard mopar width journals.

Which Kevco pan did you go with David? I was looking at their rear sump pans (M405) as I don't have a stock K any longer either.

have not purchased the crank yet (it will be 2" journal) just chasing down the possible glitches before I start collecting pieces.

I have the M-201pp pan. I use the BPE crank it has the 2" journals. It uses a comp star rod that has a short cap screw. I did have to peen the windage tray slightly and I informed kevco of the stroke
