and others to go from where we started to where we are, mucho thanks!!!
Twelve years ago I was directed to this sight and with input from some seriously intelligent folks on here I have learned much, and a lot of things I had experienced came together to make sense with their input. I was educated enough to transition from a ten second Dart to what I Have today. Again, thankyou!
I also would like to take the time to say that I don't mind seeing newbies come on here and ask a lot of questions even though they don't have a car ,etc. Some of those folks will some day ( as they have in my case!) go on to be serious competiters that have won more races than I have gone rounds! And I can feel good that in some small way, I helped. Merry Christmas, everybody!

I came to this site about the same time.
And then I was racing my 1973 440 Cuda running 11.50s with exhaust manifolds. In the winter of 2001 I bought my 1969 Dart and built a 451 CID engine running 10.30s. So my current 511 CID running low 9's is a great improvement; with much due to the help of other's on this web site. I hope to give back some of what I have learned.

Happy Holidays to all of you... I dont mind the newbie
questions either(because the search sure is a PITA)..
I dont race much anymore so I'm gonna sell the race
car and start cruising and racing my Rampage which
should be a low 10 second car... thats as fast as I
can go now day

Merry Christmas to those who replied to this post and thanks to Greg for getting it started. Each of you have contributed to my increase in performance as well. Thanks also to those who no longer post here because they feel unwelcome or their efforts questioned. We enjoy a sport in which we push the limits of our parts and knowledge. There are no guarntees for a reason. I do believe that everyone of those who is no longer here did the best they could at the time. And in the end that's all any of us could do.

Merry Christmas to all of you guys as well! This site has been a tremendous help for me with all the questions I could have ever asked...members have always shared their info and insight without belittling or bickering like some of the other mopar forums I have experienced.

Eat up fellas! And enjoy the time with the fam and friends!

I remember when you bought the Dart Jim... . And I remember Greg running his first 8 sec pass. It's guys like you and Greg (the OP) and Dwayne Porter, etcand many others that took the time to answer my newby questions and helped me through building my first car. I remember building my first transmission using the FTM and asking questions with 440JIM and JohnRR answering them many years ago.

I sometimes go months without logging on in here with life being busy like it is...but I ALWAYS come back.

Thanks again guys..

I too would like to say thanks to all of the info shared on this site. My first posting. Got the bug and itch for bigger about 30 years ago with a 383 69 Coronet while in the Pittsburgh area. Ran at Keystone(then) a few times but do to life and relocations where it was unacceptable to have such a noticeable vehicle went different directions to get my "gearhead fix". Spent 15 years in northcentral PA. Tom (Qwk Enuf) turned me onto this site. I have meet, John Cope and he is as nice as people say he is. Currently just a dreamer collecting parts for BB Dak while finishing my garage/shop. The wealth of shared knowledge on this site is amazing and get my fix daily.

I thank you all for taking the time for explaining the dos and donts for building and maintaining our hobby vehicles.

I was directed here by Greg from BCR products and I enjoy coming on line to moparts and have talked to a few of the guys and even met the crazymoparguy since he lives close by. It was to bad that some chose to leave but I still enjoy being here and learning from you guys. merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year and wish everyone a prosperous future and happy racing.

Merry Christmas Greg and to all my buds on MoParts! I don't even remember when I signed on here for the first time but I feel like I know so many of you for so long it's about like family in here. So many interesting threads, discussions and even respectful " differences of opinion" from time to time, all in good fun though and always with an eye toward expanding our collective knowledge of this most peculiar and way out of the mainstream hobby we all share.

Merry Christmas, gang!!

Bobby

Excellent post,Greg! I hope each and everyone of you had a great Christmas! I must say that I have learned quite a bit on the board here. I have also made a lot of friends here, some that will last a lifetime! I joined here at the suggestion of Gary Davis..How can you ever forget a fella like that? He was truely one of a kind and is still missed. With help and advice from people here,we have taken my junker from a mid 12 second car down to the 10.4x that it is today. I am really undecided on what the coming year will bring. I may run a few times...I may not..Who knows?? I wish each and everyone of you a prosperous 2013!! Ted
