Anybody seen anything where a chrysler turbo motor was put in a RWD car/truck?? Didn't they make a 4 cylinder Dakota that uses a 2.5 in a longitudinal arrangement??

You have something like this in mind?

94-95 Dodge Dakota 2.5L bellhousing
87-92 Supra Turbo R154 5-speed

Interesting....

I put a Turbo 2.3L Ford out of a T-bird into a Fox mustang and sold it before I really got the car finished. I regret dumping it and would like to do it over but was wondering what the Mopar options were.

I think a Turbo 4 in a light A-body would be pretty different.

With a 4 banger in a Dakota you have plenty of room to work with. Probably could run the stock 4 w/ mild boost and be ok.

Where does the shifter come through the floor with that setup?

I've thought about doing the 2.4 turbo in an A body as well. I think it would be pretty sweet, plus weigh about the same as the same combo would in a fwd car. I've seen the 2.4 guys with a hx or hy 35 turbo off of a dodge cummins put out 450hp on the engine dyno with the right tune and enough boost.

I bought a 2.4 from a SRT 4 that I plan on sticking a R154 behind, ought to make a 70s MGB move pretty nicely.

There is a guy that posts on the race section every now and then that has a late model turbo dodge in a 71 Colt with a 904 trans. It runs in the 10's. It is very cool.
