As soon as I hit Powerball, I'm going to have one of the top shops do a set of 15* closed W2s on a 48* block in the 400ci range. Sheet w/2 x 4, dry sump,....the works. Stick it in a 2600# car with a Proflite and a real tire.
Just to see.....
I hear ya Jimmy...I have a strange desire to buy a set of w2's for my 48*.

I was running 9.56 with them on my 396ci.. ported by me(305 cfm at .650) in a 2450lbs car and 10.2 compression... I started out with them on a stock stroke 340 and ran 10.0 but I was limited to 10.0 so I never pushed to see what it would do... it was a very simple build

We went 9.80's back in the 90's with a 390" motor and W2's in my old Duster. 9 teens on the bottle. Was a pretty good running combo for a 3000lb Pro Street type car.

I would love to do a Super Stock W2 engine, but sadly my wallet doesn't allow at the moment. It would be a 300-320 cube engine with 48* W2, single 4 barrel, Flat tappet camshaft and scream it out to 9500rpm!

Whew! Been a while since I posted anything. Did ya miss me? Haha. I am a slower heavier guy I guess. The car went a best of 10.49 @ 129mph this past year at a Street car shoot out in September. I am still working on traction. Best pass was a 1.51 60’. I might go up to a 10.50 x 28 this year opposed to the 9 x 28 that is currently on the car. The car weighs in at 3400lbs. With me, and the exhaust system all bolted up. The heads are W2 Econo’s with a little 2.02” intake valve. Not enough head for the 468ci. Short block it is on. Would be a great top end for someone else with a small short block. They are ready for 48 degree or 59 degree duty! Id love to finish off my W9 top end if someone wanted my W2’s!!! They are the W2’s off Brian @ IMM’s 360 that was in his duster. For now my plan is to try and get down to 10.00 with them. I think that would be pretty good considering we race at 5000ft. Air on a good day. -Kenny 1.61 sixty spinning hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD498LV3dw0&feature=share&list=FLXSnKUuArVKqJCYG46ZXNGw10.49 pass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mex8CG7RZao&feature=share&list=FLXSnKUuArVKqJCYG46ZXNGw

Welcome back Kenny. Good to see ya.
My Duster full street car with all the factory glass, 'glass hood and bumpers with a full exhaust ran 11.70's in full street trim, tires and all with a 750 VS carb, at 10:1 4.56 gear weighing 3300 lbs with a stock stroke .030 over 340. Had the MP .590 cam in it and a 904.
Later I put a Hughes .630 lift cam in it and took some weight out to get it to 3000, took the exhaust off and the car ran 10.70's in the heat and a best of 10.46. Flat hood with a 4" K&N filter on it still. Car still had the stock gas tank in it and the spare tire.
This was on a 10.5 slick with CalTracs.

Mike, watched your car at the PID Keystone reunion meet at PRP. I was impressed with its performance and consistancy, especially for a stick car. Unfortunatly that was the day your clutch gave out in the final. Man,I felt sorry for you. We were all pulling for you to win.
