Finaly found a set of rocker Mouldings for my 70 Roadrunner. Just wondering how rare this was on a 70 Roadrunner dont seem to see many of them in pictures?
I looked at e-bay and found repops for over $200 that dont even come close to looking correct. Are NOS rocker mouldings that hard to find considering not much of a market probably for them?
Thanks
Dave

I think you usually see the rocker moldings on the GTX or Satellites. There are two different sizes (width) of rocker moldings, depending on the model of car, GTX and RR got the wider (3" I think) moldings, and the Sport Satellites got the narrower (2" I think) moldings . . . happy hunting !! Don't forget, you need to have the correct mounting clips for each size of moldings !

Cheers

Mark

per the December 1971 version of the 1970-'71 Chrysler Parts Catalog:
Those are the correct (WIDE) part numbers for all Satellite, all Road Runner, & Sport Satellite Station Wagon* - there are 2 additional pairs of numbers for all Belvedere (narrow) or Sport Satellite 2dr & 4dr (WIDE) - N/A on GTX.

* I wouldn't be surprised if the Sport Satellite Station Wagon listing is wrong? Not sure WHY? wagon would be different than 2dr & 4dr.

If in excellent NOS condition - NO scrapes, NO dings, No bends, NO scuffs - those would be rare & valuable parts.

For the 1969 Road Runner - the M25 "sill mouldings" were OPTIONED on about 12% of the cars, WAG 1970 was similar.

Did your car originally have "sill mouldings"? If you are adding them - whatever you do DO NOT ADD "wheel lip mouldings"!!

Where upper door moldings part of a package that included rocker moldings or where they available only seperate?

6bblgt, I just wanted to say thanks for that useful info. I've got a '69 RR that originally came with the rocker mouldings. I was going to cover the holes up and elimate it but now I'm glad I didn't.
