Is there a problem with one of the mufflers being a little down or up stream in the system by a few inches that it could present a flow problem? I'm thinking for fitment issues that one of my mufflers (Passenger side) would be placed about 4-5 inches closer to the engine than the drivers side. Is there an issue with the balance of the exhaust note, flow being that I have an X-pipe in the middle of it all?

The placement of the X pipe is important. What happens beyond it is much less so. I wouldnt worry about it.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

Well most cars (older cars with the muffs under the
back seat) are already staggered due to the pass
side cyl head being back farther BUT when using
a X pipe you want the X to be 1/2 the distance from
the end of the primaries to the front wall of the
muffs... is it gonna kill you if it isnt... no and
I cant say for fact how much it might hurt... but I
will tell you that packaging is more important than
a 1 or 2 hp loss

In "end of the primaries, you mean the primary tubes of the headers where they converge into the collector, not the very end of the header collector. Am I correct?
