Besides give it to someone!!! Can't decide what to do with my 68 Road Runner that is a strip/street car with 8 point roll bar, race seats,no back seat and mild drivetrain that pushes it to 10.90'S in the 1/4... It's a 383 4-spd post car that's not been cut up and i have all the stock/factory parts with the exception of seats to put it back stock. Engine is not #'s matching tho... OR.. Do i cage it,cal track it,dana 60 it and install a fresh 493" lowdeck stroker with indy sr heads that made 780hp on the pump set up for spray just hanging out on the engine stand... OR.. Just leave as is to rot away under the car cover over in the corner of the garage...I think i'm ready for a change as i've owned it since 96 and basically like it sets.. What say you !!!!

if you are tired of it, sell it and build somthing else. or park it and build something else. or cut it up, or restore it.
You have left a big open ended question without parameters, budget, time comstraints, how you plan on using it, is there a drag strip near you ect. ect. ect.

Put the 493 in it and have some fun with it. You already have the car and the motor. Might as well get some use out of both.

Install the 493, don't cut/hack on it, and only spray if it needs a little more help to get that warning at the track (9.99 time slip.) Have another sets of tires and make all the lights function. Friday night, cruise! That's what I'd do...

All lights, signals, wipers work and it has a alternator already...Also i have a new set of M/T 275 drag radials in the box(not the new pro series)how do these work on the street ?
Looks like most like the 493 idea and i have been leaning that way already, just not sure!

I would do just what I do with my 63.................drive it every chance I get and enjoy the heck out of it. Yea if I wanted to go a bit faster then I would drop the 493 in it. Ron

The majority agree with my thoughts; don't cut it up or do anything reversible. If you really want to know what to do, start writing about your "favorite Roadrunner", and see what comes out on paper. Then create what your pen said.

Whoever said RRs aren't worth much should try buying something decent for less than $15K. I see completely stripped 2-door B-bodies going for $5K, at least they are advertised as such. Or maybe I'm searching on another planet? R.

Drive it as is. If you put the big motor in, you'll have to change the 833 4 speed to a Jerico or, God forbid, ruin it by putting an automatic tranny in it.
OUCH!!! ..Nothing has been done that can't be changed back easilly...Actually had been following the passion 5-spd deal and when it was taking so long i kinda moved on...
What i like... Put the 493 in... Passion 5-spd if available... Dana 60... Do something with the seats... Year One 17" magnums... Then enjoy...

Leave this one alone....drive it and thats it
Yep, especially if it runs on pump gas, or sell it to someone who'll actually take it as is and have fun with it.
It reminds me of a cross between my Challenger (mid-10 second pump gas street car) and the original 440-6 '69 Road Runner I used to have... I like it!

Set it up to be a comfortable open road car with A/C, an overdrive, extensive sound deading treatments and some suspension and braking upgrades. Then drive it on road trips to some cool Mopar car shows around the country.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

I would keep it as a street strip car, but definitely put the big motor in it and perhaps just a 6 point cage and make a drag week car out of it. You could always cut the cage out later and restore it.
