Going to pull and freshen my 727 this winter. Would like to ask your opinions as to what to put in it. Running a trnsbrake in a 3300# car. Trans has alto reds and kolenes billet servos standard bolt in sprag. Drums and other internals are oem except the a&a manual tb vb and the deep pan. Should it have anything roller or extra beyond what it already has at this 6oo+hp level? Thanks

Get this front band
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/727transmission.htm
Extreme Duty Brass Impregnated Carbon Fiber Flex Band.
Cheap and very good!

Also 4.2:1 ratio band lever and HD band strut would be nice upgrades.

For safety, it is recommened to use billet steel or aluminium front drum. If you use it on street, go for steel.

Ok what are the benefits of up grading the drum besides it wont explode? Having a rear band apply and bolt in sprag im safe from the stock drum exploding. Right? This how i understand it at this point. Also rollerizing does nothing for ET so why bother.

Put a 904 in it!

Your fine with what you have... the ONLY thing I
would add would be a A&A super sprag... rollerizing
it wont gain you at all

Ok thanks guys. My tranny man says the same for rollerizing. He thinks the standard bolt in sprag is good enough, but ill have him put in a super sprag and just freshen the kolenes and altos.

Not tryin to steal the thread but my guys says stk clutches are fine for a 727 till the 9s or turbo/blown/nitrous deals.
