I like tight lca's most times but everything is a compromise!
A smaller cam on a tighter lca would make more lower rpm power I'm sure, but for street cars traction is limited on the STREET so actually a good race HP and TQ curve work well.
At the track, sure more poop on the line would be nice, but I'll bet the engine spends most of it's time in the 5000-7000rpm range and with a 4" crank even if the 60ft. is a little soft it'll e.t. better this way than the other.

what are your thoughts on the 1 7/8 TTI's say VS the 1 7/8 Hedmans that you also dyno with, are you gonna compare? great build BTW

N I C E!! sounds sweeeet!

Please...drop in the Duster and get a timeslip. I'd bet easy low-mid 10's with a very tame (streetable) converter...

All bets are off with a full exhaust system. Yesterday I finished testing that engine with Daryl's TTI 1 5/8 step headers and mufflers and it made 580HP! That's only 10HP down from the larger open headers and larger carb!!

So I say for the little bit of power difference, buy the nicer better product (TTI) unless every HP is important and then I'd just build custom headers at that point.
Thanks guys for all the nice feedback. Really, it's making the power is should so nothing special I guess but with all the "you must pay for advertising or you cannot post your business info" I thought some dyno info on a little W2 headed sb stroker would be fun since we don't see many posts like this anymore....Such a shame!!

Brian, just out of curiosity here, how much more power do you think a solid roller was worth on this combo compared to say a similar solid flat tappet cam?

Most dyno videos are boring but I really enjoyed this one, engine sounds great! That will be a blast in a fairly light weight car.

Thanks Pro...Matt I would guess around 25-30HP maybe...as smooth as these lobes are, not sure it would be a huge amount.
Remember, the heads were only mildly ported so there's some power left on the table there.

Cool, I was just wondering if the solid roller helped make substantially more power if it was to be up against a similar flat tappet. Motor sounds BAD when it is revving
